The CR Quiz

 

Dennis likes to start our Sunday School class with a quiz.  Following suit, here is your CR quiz, classwork, and homework for March. 

Answer Yes or No to the following questions: 

1.    It is up to me to make others happy          
2.    No one knows how I feel
3.    I wish I didn’t act this way, but I don’t know how to change
4.    If people see me acting right, I’ll be right
5.    I’ll be fine on my own
6.    When I think about what I have done in the past, I get sick and can’t forgive myself
7.    I fear the future
8.    I worry about people finding out about the real me
9.    I can change on my own; I don’t need help
10.    Compared to others, my problems are small
11.    I HAVE forgiven, I just cannot let go
12.    I am not like THOSE people
13.    My marriage needs help, but I don’t want anyone to know

If you answered yes, to the questions above, you are in what we lovingly call - DENIAL.  Don't be upset; we have all been there.  In fact, recognizing your denial is the first step in finding help.

Lord, I’m so grateful that my Christian life is not a DIY project.  I don’t have to fix myself on my own.  Thank You that you are at work in me and in my life to help me break my old patterns of thoughts and to change my actions.  Thank You for creating within me the yearning to do what you have asked me to do.   Thank You that your power is at work within me!
